DUAL QUALIFICATION CERTIFICATE IV IN AGEING SUPPORT & CERTIFICATE IV IN COMPETITIVE SYSTEMS AND PRACTICES

This dual qualification Certificate IV in Ageing Support (CHC43015) and Certificate IV in Competitive Systems and Practices (MSS40316) is suitable for staff already working in residential aged care and would like to enhance their knowledge and skills in this space. This course is designed to educate staff in process flow, problem solving, critical thinking and change management. The Ageing Support component will teach you how to support the wellbeing and independence of the elderly, and recognise each client’s needs.

Vative Healthcare Prerequisites: Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent

Course Duration: 12 months (minimum of one day of training per month)

Mandatory Placement: 120 hours of professional work placement

Study mode: Work Place Based Delivery

Assessment: During the course students will be assessed by the educator through classroom observations, workplace activities, project work, group activities, simulation activity, case studies, group discussion, questions and answers assessments, role plays/scenario responses and completion of the minimum 120 hours of support work.  

Practical Observations: This takes place in the students’ workplace, an VHC representative will attend your workplace at a pre-arranged time that is determined by VHC and your employer.  You will demonstrate skills you have been taught whilst completing your daily workplace tasks.  Please also refer to the student handbook which is available on this website in Student Resources
